9 months

Emily turned 9 months old yesterday! I was waiting for Grant to get home before we did her photoshoot, but she made a huge mess at dinner so she had to go straight to the bath... no pictures beforehand :) so the blog just had to wait.  But here it is!  Em's nine month updates...

-Emily is such an explorer and she's into EVERYTHING!  She follows me all over the house.  It's a good thing I babyproofed already because she touches everything she can reach.  She's been interested in the outlets and she loves the springy doorstops.  She's taken the white end cap off several of them.  Good thing I caught her before she could swallow any!  I seriously have to be watching her all of the time!  Grant noticed that she was really quiet the other day and then he found that she had pulled almost all of the baby wipes out of the package!  We're going to have to get baby gates soon because she just can't be contained!  It's a lot of fun, though!

-I've started taking Emily on walks every morning.  It's her favorite part of the day.  She LOVES it!  We have a lot of fun together :)

-She's been growing up so fast!  This month she's been changing so much.  She now usually crawls the normal way, on all fours.  She'll sometimes still scoot or do what Grant calls "the gimp crawl." It's where she uses her knee on one leg and her foot on the other leg when she crawls.  She can also now pull herself up to standing and get to a seated position by herself.  She's so independent! Her favorite toy is her stacking ring toy.  She's great at unstacking the rings, but she has no interest in putting them back on.  When she's done unstacking, I have to be really fast about re-stacking them because she'll start to take them off as soon as I put them back on.
-Emily loves cameras! She'll immediately smile when you point one her way.  She's developed what we call the "cheesy smile."  She smiles really big and scrunches up her nose.  And when she does something she thinks is funny she'll smile and look at everyone to make sure they saw it.  She's such a ham!  We love her!

And here are her outtakes:
