Easter

Emily had an awesome first Easter!  She was pretty spoiled with lots of gifts from Grandma Barb, Nana and Papa, Aunt Fleming and Uncle Jeff, Mom and Dad, and the Easter Bunny.  We weren't sure if she would really think much of it since she's so little, but she loved her Easter basket!  She may not understand the holiday yet, but she sure did love all of the toys!

At first, she didn't really care about the Easter basket, but once we started taking toys out and she realized there were fun things inside she had a lot of fun.  She started climbing inside of it :)

She loved her second Easter basket from Aunt Fleming and Uncle Jeff:

And her little bunny with matching onesie from Grandma Barb:

Emily looked beautiful in her Easter dress!

six months

Today is Emily's half birthday!  Another six months and she will be 1!  She's growing so much!

-Emily's always babbling.  She talks to herself, her toys, and any people that are around.  She uses the letter "m" a lot.  She's said "mama" several times!  Even though I know she doesn't realize what she's saying, it's still fun to hear :)
-She's in the 50th percentile in all of her stats.  Perfectly proportional!
-Remember in her 5 month post how I said she likes to sleep on her side?  Well, now she sleeps on her side so much that sometimes she accidentally rolls onto her tummy.  It makes her really mad and for some reason she feels like she can't roll back by herself.  It's been causing me lots of trips upstairs during naptime, unfortunately.  She's slept through the night a couple times, but usually she's still up once around 3 or 4.
-Emily doesn't like being in her car seat, high chair, swing, or any confined place for too long.  If you walk close to her and she wants to get out she'll arch her back and reach her arms up towards you.  It's adorable!  She just started this other thing where if someone's holding her but she wants me to hold her instead she starts twirling her wrists.  Precious!  She also doesn't like not having attention.  When she's sitting in her high chair while I'm eating she'll play with a toy for a little bit and then she'll look at me, hold the toy out to her side, and drop it.  It looks so deliberate.  I've started putting several toys in front of her at once and, one by one, she'll do the same thing with every toy.  It's hysterical, but it's also a little frustrating having to keep picking up her toys.
-We took Emily swimming for the first time last weekend.  She loved it and looked so stinkin' cute in her little getup!

Whenever we're in public, we're always getting comments about how cute Emily is.  The most common compliments are about her big blue eyes or her chunky arms!  Of course, we think she's the cutest baby there ever was :)  The only problem is that she's growing up way too fast!

Here are the outtakes from her shoot today:

St. Patty's Day

I've always loved this holiday!  Green is my favorite color so it's really fun to see everyone dressed up in green everywhere.  We went all out this year with green/Irish food all day long and our house has been decorated for St. Patrick's Day for the past few weeks.  Here's a look into all of the fun we had:

And here's our little one on her first St. Patrick's Day:

in case you can't tell, her shirt says "kiss me"

Happy St. Patty's Day!!
