Now, I have to brag on our photographer really quick before I show all the awesome pictures. Kaity Fisher (who takes all our family photos) offered to take pictures of the party a couple months beforehand. Her due date was a week before so I didn't expect that it would actually work out. She still hadn't had her baby when the party came so she came and took pictures for us when she was 41 weeks pregnant! She had her beautiful baby girl 2 days later ;) We're so grateful to her for these awesome shots! Mine would not have turned out nearly as cute!
We invited all of Emily's preschool friends to the party (and they all happen to be girls this year, so we were able to make it extra girly). As the girls came in, they each got a cape (made by my mom) and a chance to go in the telephone booth. Then they all made their own masks while they waited for everyone to arrive.
Then we headed outside for an obstacle course (or "superhero training"). Emily put Grant in charge of the obstacle course and he definitely delivered! At the end, they did a punch board, where they drew a number corresponding with a bag. Each bag had a little superhero doll in it for the girls to keep :)
Then we headed back inside for dessert and presents!
Emily loved her party and we're so happy with how everything turned out! She now has all of her next birthdays planned until she's 11 ;) We'll see if she sticks with them! Thanks to everyone who came and made this day special for her!
