November (finally!)

Oh my goodness, this year has flown by! November was another whirlwind of a month, and now, here we are more than halfway through December and I'm just now blogging about it!

On November 5th, my mom turned the big 60! We figured since it was a milestone birthday, it deserved a big celebration. Fleming and I put together a 50s themed party since she was born in that decade. It was so much fun!

"I don't eat the stems because they're grossies"

Fleming had an awesome cowboy party for her boys (more on that below), so we borrowed a wagon from her friend. It was there for a few days before and after the party and Emily loved playing on it!

Now to the party... A lot of prep went into this party for the twins' 1st birthday and it did not disappoint! Everything was adorable, from the decor, to the food, to the activities! We had a blast! Our wonderful photographer friend was able to capture all the details, but we took a few of our family enjoying the fun!
I made the little girls western skirts :)

Addie's 1st horseback ride!

It took some convincing to get Emily to ride with me and then halfway through, she asked me to get off so she could do it herself!

A few miscellaneous pictures:

Emily's starting to brave some of the bigger things at parks. I'm proud of her, but also much more nervous!

My dad also had a birthday this month. He loves everything lemon, so that's what he got!

The girls dressed up the Sunday before thanksgiving

This year we got to visit grant's family for thanksgiving. It was so much fun having most of the Zinns together! Emily loves playing with her cousins. We reserved the church building on thanksgiving day and it was perfect! The kids were able to play and have fun with lots of space! The trip went by way too fast, but we're grateful for the memories we created :)

Checking out aunt Irene's classroom

No visit with aunt Irene would be complete without a mani/pedi

We had several dance parties!

Thanksgiving day!

Amanda created an adorable craft table

Addie's first thanksgiving dinner

The kids put on a show for us after dinner

Directing the show ;)

Marnie did an awesome job hosting craft time!

On Saturday we went bowling!

Addie was jealous when it wasn't her turn

All bundled up for church! We never get to do that down here :(

It was a super fun month! And we're having a great December as well! I can't believe Christmas is THIS WEEK (not to mention Addie's birthday... What?!) there will definitely be lots more to blog about soon!
