We're already a month into the new year and it has been a great one so far!
-On New Year's Day we went bowling with my family. They've completely renovated the bowling alley that I grew up going to, and it was my first time going since the renovation. I was blown away! It's such a fun atmosphere and the girls loved it!
-Emily graduated from the nursery at church and is now a sunbeam! I still can't believe how fast that happened! It's fun for me, because I'm the primary pianist, so I get to watch her while she's in there. The first day she was so focused and reverent the whole time. It was adorable! She LOVES primary. She's is very excited to go every week and that makes me so happy!
her first day! Thanks for the adorable dress, Grandma Barb!
-When I hosted preschool last month, our theme was dinosaurs. I have to say I think it was my favorite unit to date. The kids really got into it and we got to do a lot of fun activities!
we had "dinosaur eggs" for our snack the first day...
...and went digging for dinosaur fossils the next day
-Grant's been working like crazy with his busy season, so a couple weeks ago the girls and I (along with my mom, my sister and her boys, and my aunt and uncle) took a trip up to Oklahoma to visit my grandparents and my other uncle. It was a very quick trip, but so nice to get away for a little bit and see family. The girls loved having a change of scenery and spent a lot of time outside!
we stopped at one of our favorite bakeries along the way
in heaven!
teaching Addie our traditions! we always play cards when we visit oklahoma!
Emily took her job of protecting Hudson very seriously ;)
Miles loved helping papa drive!
Emily went off to play hide and seek and a few minutes later she started yelling, "I'm stuck!" I did not expect to find her stuck in a mouse trap!!
-We've had some really beautiful weather lately! I'm still a little disappointed that it hasn't been colder, but we've loved being able to spend pretty much the whole winter outside! And half the time we don't even need a jacket!! My girls are both in their happy place when they're outside!
pretending to be a superhero (it's her latest obsession!)
my little hillbilly ;)
-and lastly, we had a little Super Bowl party with family last night at my parents' house. We didn't end up staying for the whole thing because it was too late for the girls, but we had a fun time making (and eating) some fun food to celebrate!
-and here are a few more miscellaneous photos:
Addie has discovered a love of dress up!
sneaking in whatever daddy time we can... and making s'mores!
